March Marathon Announcement

LA Public Works Post ImageWe’re doing something a little different this month with Cinemarathon!  Over the years there’s been a lot of theories and conjecture about whether or not “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” is the supposed 3rd film in what would be dubbed the Chinatown Trilogy.  The second film being “The Two Jakes”.  It’s never been confirmed by the makers of the original film, but at the very least Roger Rabbit is a thematic sequel/homage to the world of the other films.  And much like Chinatown, Roger Rabbit was inspired by true crimes that changed the landscape and future of Los Angeles.  Hence, it being dubbed the “L.A. Public Works” Trilogy.  So follow along with us tomorrow March 28th on our Twitter and Facebook pages.   Posted below is our viewing schedule!

THE SCHEDULE:

  1:00 pm – Chinatown (1974 – 130 min.)
  3:10 pm – Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988 – 104 min.)
  4:54 pm – The Two Jakes (1990 – 137 min.)
  7:11 pm – MARATHON ENDS
